Yeah, well there’s really so much to say about our amazing DSG louka. Someone who knows her would tell you that she’s a delight, and that she’s always smiling. But I am here to give a little bit more insight on just how unique and wonderful she is. Hangal can make anyone go from a bad mood to walking on sunshine. Even when she might not be doing that well, all you’ll see is a person that literally can’t diffuse depressing aura. To those who are afraid of approaching her due to not being on personal terms, don’t be, and trust me, get to know her, she is the cream of the crop, a truly flawless friend. Here are some words to describe our louki: lovable, unique, caring, passionate, loyal, weird, she’s basically bubbles from PPG. It was difficult keeping this PG 13. P.S: She’s weird, the good kind..

Perfectionist, ambitious and workaholic; that’s what she is known for.  Before you really know her, you’ll get confused about how she manages to talk about 20 different topics in one minute and you will never notice the moment she jumped into another subject. That’s her way of showing consideration of everything her mind thinks of and her excitement. You’ll be surprised when I tell you that Nada is the perfect person to have a deep conversation with and wander into complex philosophical ideas about life, because of her nonstop jokes she tells from Egyptian movies that I don’t understand and will not understand. She is a real efficient multi-tasker, if she didn’t find two things to do at the same time, she will probably sing, listen to music or speak while doing the task, which makes her the best fit to work in chaotic circumstances.  Her qualities are a reflection of a great leader; her thoughtfulness of other people’s need cannot be described.  It is entirely refreshing to witness her dedication and perseverance. She doesn’t settle for anything less than perfect which makes her the perfect leader for this conference.

Yoyo or Ragrag as I like to call him, this year’s Deputy Secretary General might be the stupidest and smartest person I know. Academically, he’s a math and physics high level student, but in real life he’s dumber than Patrick from SpongeBob. Given the fact that I have known him for almost 12 years, I can safely say that he’s the funniest person ever. When it comes to work, Youssef is a true leader, although he jokes around 90% of the time and has the attention span of a 4 year old kid. Despite that, Ragrag is very cultured and is an extremely creative person – I say that from experience because I have been a victim of his “creativity” during last year’s OISMUN Security Council crisis- and I know that he will bring something new to this year’s OISMUN. Actually, I owe him being a part of this OISMUN team. He’s the one who encouraged me to participate in last year’s conferences and made me wish I had done that earlier. Bottomline is that Ragrag is an extremely fun person to work with and I can’t wait to work with him this year.
P.S: Yoyo can be a very rude person once you get to know him (his first response when someone says let’s take a picture is “why?”)

Have you ever been asked, “dakhel 3elmy wala adaby”? Let me ask you Ziko, “dakhla 3elmy wala adaby”? Long story short, whatever you choose, you’ll prosper. This girl’s brain knows no limits in the world of science, technology, history, geography and even art. Her diverse background extends to her dedication to every language she speaks. When serious she sounds like a wise grandmother, but other than that, she may act like such a child that you wonder where the seriousness in her comes from. Not to sound cliché, but she is seriously THE best secret keeper and THE best advice giver. Honestly, when it comes to it, if you have a pet at home and invite Ziko over, she’ll probably spend most of her time playing with your pet instead of actually talking to you. She might doubt her abilities, but mark my words, this girl is going to make it big one day.

Alia is one of the most humble, down to earth, funny and caring people you’ll ever meet. This is why she’s also known as  ‘ Mama Alia’, because of her amazing loving personality. Alia is the kind of a person you’ll go to when you have a bad day to cheer you up, I’m sure she’ll hit you with one of her ‘afashat aflam’ and it will probably be “keda ok”. When having a debate, don’t even dare opening a conversation against women in front of Alia, cause be sure that you might end up crying because of how much Alia’s feminist side will kick in. What I love about Alia is her commitment to anything whether it’s something big or small, how Alia will support you anywhere and everywhere. I believe that this conference wouldn’t be the same without Alia, her personality and her commitment to the team and the conference takes it to another level, we can see her hard work and dedication throughout the conference and the preparatory sessions. Alia brings light, peace and love to this conference as our Vice Head of OT. She’s doing her job perfectly, which is being ‘Mama Alia’. She’s always there when any member of the team needs her, she cares for others and tries to solve each and everyone’s problems. If you ask me where I can see Alia in ten years, I’ll probably say she’ll be one of the richest writers in the world because of her amazing and fascinating writing skills and her huge creativity. Or on the other hand, she might be one of the toughest women in the world fighting for her gender’s rights. I’m 100% sure and hopeful that Alia will be one of the most successful people in the world, her personality will take her far. And I am more than sure that we’ll still be friends for many years to come, because I’m positive that I don’t want to lose an amazing friend like Alia. If you know Alia, my advice to you is to cherish your friendship because it’s very hard to find a friend like her. And if you don’t, well you most probably need to get to know her.

Yes, she’ll answer your texts after several hours and, yes, she will answer texts on group chats and still won’t answer your simple message. She probably even loves her nails more than her parents, her dog and evidently you and sometimes her anger gets the best of her. In brief, it’s all about Nadia! However, when you get to really know her, you’ll realize that you encountered a very caring and loving soul. She might not show it (and she probably won’t) but don’t let her attitude fool you. If she likes you, know that she cares a lot about you and that she’ll always be there for you during your good times and your bad times. At the top of the organization team pyramid, you better believe she’s a responsible and independent woman. She’ll judge you by your nails, she’ll bully you and what she asks for must be done but if you have the tiniest problem she’ll always be there ready to listen and help you. We don’t exactly know what is it about her that makes everybody love her but you will instantly fall in love with her whether you like it or not. With the help of her daily cup of coffee, she’s amazing us one conference at a time. Speaking of which, i strongly advise you not to approach this person as long as she didn’t get her daily dose of coffee (life tip) 🙂

Having the opportunity to work with “Abrahman” is a chance you shouldn’t miss. If you see someone crying while laughing, that’s probably him, and if you see someone walking his dog and you’re surprised by the way he’s treating him, and how compassionate and caring he is, that’s probably also him. So you get the point that he’s a person that knows how to have fun and enjoys life, but also cares about others. Nevertheless, when it comes to work, he will still surprise you with his hard working skills and how he’s concerned about every little detail, but also gives every task it’s’ needed time, without forgetting the fact that he will always be there to help anyone in need even if it doesn’t concern him. You should expect a lot from OISMUN IX when you have team members that put a lot of efforts to create the best and make the conference a success, just like Massry.

“Louly”, this is what we call her. A bright smile and pure heart. Her stories are the kind that give you a real belly laugh, a deep and hearty one. Here are some of the things I learned about her since we met. One, she loves sushi. Two, she hates nagging (so get out of her face if you are one of those). Three, she hates the smell of “chipsy bel gebna el metabela”. Four, she is the kind of person you can travel with wearing a onesie on the plane and enjoy it. Five, she is the kind of girl who’ll make you anticipate events so you can see what she chose to wear. And she never fails to amaze. Simply, love her.

Sara is the kind of girl who will help her friends – not looking for anything in return. When you meet her you won’t just be fascinated by her cheerfulness and kindness, but also with the knowledge she has about way too many topics. Moreover, when it comes to topics she is passionate about, an answer to a simple question can turn into a one hour phone call or ten successive voice notes, with nothing but enriching information! When it comes to our organizational skills none of us can be completely organized, however, Sara manages to get her work perfectly done on time either MUN related or school work. Along with her open-mindedness and previous experiences as a delegate and a team member she has gained a lot of experience that will ensure a perfect distribution of the delegates in each committee.
If you didn’t get a chance to meet her; she is the hyperactive vice head of administration of the OISMUN IX conference. Sara is not just a special team member; she is more like a second sister to me!

Despite his crazy way of doing things and the fact that he thinks he knows everything, this guy is very hard working, and knows how to deal with almost everything; he has a great ability to solve all of our problems all while making them feel important. This member of the team is one we need to make this conference successful. He is honest, caring, insightful and incredibly helpful. Despite all of that though, he manages to act like the silliest person ever and brightens up our days just a little bit.

Mix kylie Jenner, Barney Stinson, Winnie the Pooh and Jerry the mouse in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of SUGA and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract. Whisk until fluffy. You’ll get one unforgettable person that I will never regret having introduced myself to. At first malak may seem reserved and shy… as I said, AT FIRST. Buckle your seatbelts cause you’re in for a hell of a ride. She’s very cunning and clever, and not everyone can guess what she’s up to. Malak is the human equivalent of the poop emoji. Don’t let her eyebrows fool you, she can do much more than them. her excellent communication skills and her dedication to her work makes Malak a valuable team member who will excel at her position!

Joudy Jayda2, that is what people call her. A weirdo but in her own unique way.
She is funny, silly but most importantly, she is very kind. She doesn’t give up easily and is willing to go great lengths to please and help anyone. Her laugh and her facial expressions are priceless, but that is what makes her that unique weirdo. When it comes to work, Joudy turns to be the most committed, productive and creative person. She is extremely hard working and doesn’t quit when things get hard. She is willing to dedicate her time and effort even after all the stress she has been through, in order to create spectacular ceremonies and events. Jayda you are such an inspiration and I believe we are very lucky to have such a great personality on our team.

Describing Jenny in few words isn’t that easy. Jenny is the type of person who is always available to help anyone without asking for anything in return. At the same time she is this little creature that always has a big fat smile on her face. Her laugh is recognisable from any distances, as she is always laughing and spreading positive vibes everywhere. She might be short and “petite” but NEVER underestimate the work and effort that she can put into what she loves and believes in. Along with all of these traits, her imagination has no limits, which made her the best for this position. Always having creative ideas to create the best videos and come out with the most entertaining ceremonies. You better watch out when she is around, because she is a neat freak. OCD has dominated her life, made her organise everything from A to Z. That’s another reason why she is capable of organising wonderful ceremonies. Jenny has been my best friend for the past years, and since then she had the best impact on my life. So you better have the chance and meet this loving little creature. Love you Jenn…

You’re the craziest person I’ve ever met in my life. In the language of the great, “ENTY EZAY KEDA?” I’m certain that in 20 years they will condone a research on your brain to figure out how is it possible for you to be this crazy. Although you are very impatient, extremely loud and almost always screaming, you are very adventurous, extremely funny and always supportive.

That’s why you’re one of the few people that participate in my world famous “kawares” and “masayeb”. You are the true definition of a contradiction. You are very thoughtful yet extremely irritating. You are very wrong yet very right. You are so deceiving yet so truthful. Because of that, you are you and this is why our friendship is, as you would say, *screaming*

Ibrahim Mottaweh, what can I say about him? There is so much to say but no words to say them with. So let’s start with the simple stuff; he’s one of the smartest people I know, and is one of the kindest, funniest, laziest, most annoying and loyal people ever. He’s always got my back no matter what, and I am eternally grateful for that. If a member of the team is having a slight breakdown, be sure that Ibrahim will probably the first person by their side. He goes out of his way to help his friends and team members. He truly is THE most wonderful human I have ever come across. He deserves everything good and if he works hard enough he will end up on the top of the world. If you get the chance to work with him or befriend him know that you are immensely lucky… I know I am. And so is the OISMUN 9 team for having him.

Yasmine is literally my sister, the closest to my heart. She’s a hard worker when it comes to serious tasks. She’s always there to help me and help all of her friends with their everyday problems. She never fails to make me smile whenever I feel down. Yasmine is a very caring person and one of the most pure hearted out there. If she really is friends with someone, she will do anything and everything to make them happy. Although when you first meet Yasmine, she comes off as “rude”; however, if you get to know her, she can be the best person ever, just like she is for me . I love her.

Have you ever seen a horse called Huhu? I highly doubt it, he’s one of a kind. Have you ever seen a horse using facebook? While also being a professional IT guy? WOW!  Despite the fact that he’s a horse, he’s still your go-to IT person when you need help with your broken computer or something of the sort. That is why, Hussein Abdelgalil is responsible for our IT this OISMUN. He’s a hard-worker but also funny, he’s undoubtedly the most hilarious person I’ve ever seen. We’re so grateful to have Huhu with us.

Omar is a unique person with such a unique personality. His efficient work ethics always get the best quality of work anyone can get. Omar is always a person who is craving for knowledge and helping others attaining his same level. Once you speak about him, you certainly do not forget his generosity, during work days when everyone is exhausted and stressed, when you’ll find him offering you help and food; the greatest combination ever to cheer anyone up. The presence of Omar among us gives us all a sense of finesse and sharpness that helps you take your work to a whole new level.

He is the kindest and funniest person you can ever meet, if you get to know Marwan, you will realize how kind he is to everyone. If you face any problem, he will always get you out of it using his great support and continuous help. When it comes to work he always does his best to create the best thing, and if any problem occurs in regards to work, he solves it without getting angry. If you are going to meet him, try not meeting him in a formal place or in an official event because he will keep on telling you jokes that will make you laugh in front of everyone. You’ve got here the man that gets the job done!  

Dedication is what differs a hard worker from a negligent one. If Youssef wasn’t dedicated to what he is doing and didn’t love it, then he would have long since given up on trying to get outsiders to participate in our conferences. He was able to get us outsiders for two underrated conferences (OISMAL and Forum de la Francophonie), and that is how capable he is.
Of course these aren’t the only traits that make Youssef the best at his job: good interactive and social skills, helpful to all members in need of help even if it is not in his domain, always eager to make new friends, and a lot more that wouldn’t fit in just 200 words.
Even though he has lived abroad for a grand majority of his life, he always gives you the impression that he was a local Egyptian his entire life.
We are expecting a lot from you in MUN and know you can achieve it and more.  If you knew who was writing this, you would have known what I am expecting from you 😉

Before Mal and Franco Sarah and I weren’t that close. Thanks to these two conferences I got to know such an amazing person in the team as well as in my department. She is hardworking, always delivering and let’s face it, she did an outstanding  job catering the last two conferences. What is special about her is that she doesn’t easily stress, which is great because it’s the last thing we need during any of our conferences. By not panicking she frees her time helping and supporting whoever is in need. I really am glad to have met such a kind person.

Whoever said short people are *insert random heightism stereotype* has clearly not met Nadine Hesham! She may be small but she sure is mighty. She has a striking strong personality despite  sometimes having her heart on her sleeve. She is honest, understanding, trustworthy and reliable. The saying “heart bigger than her body” fits her perfectly. She might not want to share her food with you, but I can guarantee that she is one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. Instead of calling her short I prefer saying “fun sized” because Nadine is definitely a barrel of fun!  A “delight” would be the perfect word to describe her because it’s truly a pleasure to be around her. She is a very important asset to our team and I can assure you that you will be “wowed” by her work ethic, outstanding personality and awesome dance moves. Whoever said that good things come in small packages was right and Nadine is a living example of that!

When I first met Taher almost 8 years ago, I remember that he was a very sleepy student, the sleepiest one in class, in fact our 4th grade teacher used to call him “Sleeping Beauty”. However now, he has grown to be a cultivated and poised individual. He is smart, kind and has a big heart. His heart is not the only big thing about him though, his appetite is huge, despite what you might think, judging by his muscular and healthy-looking body. Even though Taher might come off as lazy, he turns into such a hard worker when he does something he enjoys. I guess his laziness might be a positive trait though, if you go by Bill Gates’s most famous quote “I will always choose a lazy person to do a difficult job. Because, he will find an easy way to do it”. Taher can be very disturbing, especially in class, because of his habit of tapping on the table all the time, but he is a talented singer with a beautiful voice and a genie on the “tabla”. He also loves driving cars. Finally, Taher may seem calm at first, but get to know him and you’ll find out that he’s crazy, with all his pranks and funny acts.

The man, the myth, the legend himself… Captain Adel! There’s no other way to say it, but this guy does not know how to lose. Whether it’s in a small bet between some friends, or a sports match of a lifetime, Adel never fails to deliver when he is faced with a challenge. It might take him months to do so, but he will always end up proving somebody wrong. His drive and his passion are what make his addition to the organization team of OISMUN 9’ so valuable. He’s ready to do whatever it takes to show the global community how prominent of a conference OISMUN is. As he holds the position of Sponsoring, and as a man that knows no limits when confronted with a challenge, trust me when I say that this conference will feature some top-notch sponsorships that will profoundly support and facilitate our cause.

If you ever hear a girl laughing and shouting at the same time, you’ll definitely know it’s Laila Chafik. I can honestly say that this girl’s personality cannot be easily described in just a paragraph. She’s the kind of person that can be friends with anyone even if they aren’t close to her. When you meet her for the first time you’ll get the impression that she’s a “mean girl”, but just wait until you actually get to know her, because I guarantee you that you’ll fall in love with her personality. She’s the person you can always run to for advice about anything and everything. Her wisdom will sometimes make you feel like she’s your big sister (and maybe also her tallness). However don’t be fooled by that because she also has a silly side. She can behave in the craziest way, say the weirdest things at the most random times and make you laugh until you’re in tears. I must warn you though, do not get on her nerves because she will turn into the biggest “sharshou7a” ever, and you will certainly regret it.

Mariam is that type of person that you just feel comfortable around. She’s very friendly and ready to make friends with anyone at any time. After a few conversations with her, I noticed how pure hearted and kind she actually is. Mariam is a hard working, determined young lady that will undoubtedly achieve something big in her life. She is very committed to her duties, whether it be school work or MUN work. She doesn’t stop until she gets what she’s been working for, and we really need that effort to organize our annual MUN. She’s remarkably self-confident in herself, her works, and her efforts. Her work ethics and morality never cease to amaze me even though she could proudly open up more and dare to show her real self. It’s been a pleasure working with her.

At first glance, Zeina’s passion for black and obsession with lighters might give you the impression that she’s some sort of dark depressed emo. But trust me, she’s anything but emo. Zeina is the type of person that may come through as “average”, certainly not someone who reads books about John F. Kennedy, but she’s full of surprises like that. The position of journal administrator fits her like a glove, I don’t know anyone else who is half as passionate about journalism as her. This girl has a Pulitzer with her name on it in her future, take my word for it. The team is certainly lucky to have you.

Mariam Hussein, a girl you will never regret to know. She is a friendly person who is easy to approach and talk to. She is the type of person who can stay on a floating bed with in the middle of the sea admiring the stars in the sky and contemplating the colours of the universe. You can open up to her easily ; I guarantee you she will give you the best advice. Many debates, random topics, quotes and deep conversations concerning ghosts, horoscopes , arts, social relationships, travelling are definitely discussed between us. Her quiet, wise and mysterious personality are what makes her a great unique person. I always ask her: what good movie do you recommend me to watch tonight, surprisingly , she never fails to answer my question. Mariam is the kind of girl who will push you to love yourself ; she is the cutest ever. My economics class would never have been the same without you!

When talking about Jilane – “Jilane? Who is Jilane?” Oh, sorry I meant Jenny… Let me re-start. You know these days where everything is going wrong, school work is driving you crazy ,people are being so negative and everything around you is just not okay for some reason or another. Jennh or Jilane (or as I, personally call her jojo) with her long lasting, unique smile comes down the school hallway is the midst of everything telling you “It’s okay, it’s just a bad day you will get through it ” along with saying some joke or starts to make fun of you. Isn’t it ironic that the one responsible for our smiles is also responsible of keeping in memory of all our favorite moments during our conference? I guess not! She is the kind of girl who will hold on to her good vibes no matter how bad the circumstances. But don’t let her fun spirit and never-ending laughs fool you about how wise she can be when it comes to giving advice to her friends.

She is the most loving soul I have ever encountered. So make sure you get to know Jenny during our conference (Also to ensure having your picture being posted on social media…)

P.S. don’t you dare say the number “5” ( in arabic) in front of her during the conference… She will start laughing incessantly and I am NOT responsible for her  undiplomatic attitude when the time comes.

There are no limits to Mostafa’s passion, devotion, and enthusiasm. He has worked so immensely hard to get to where he is today academically, physically, mentally and, undoubtedly, MUN-ly. At first glance he comes across as someone who does nothing but smile and crack up at any joke. However, it soon becomes clear that he means business and that he is ready to work and do his very best to do what needs to be done. Finally, he’s a guy you can count on to always give you advice when you ask for it and not be worried about the correctness or the quality of what he says, for he is truly a person who stands for what is fair and what is just. Delegates under his presidency are very fortunate to have such a helpful and cooperative president.

Redhead. This is without a doubt the first thing that comes to mind when people think of Lobna… or should I say Ms. Vice President of the General Assembly? I have to admit that Lobna and I aren’t close; we are certainly not close enough to the point of me writing a paragraph describing her. However, her constant drive to succeed, passion, hard work and most importantly love for MUN grabbed my attention. Therefore, I want to seize this opportunity to accentuate on these significant qualities in Lobna’s personality throughout this brief paragraph. We always ask ourselves: What would make me stand out? How would I succeed? How would I reach my goal? I believe that she was able to answer these questions with these aforementioned qualities and I congratulate her for that. I see a bright future ahead of you, Redhead. I’m sorry if this paragraph isn’t the personal description you were waiting for but I would love to get to know you on a personal level rather than just an “MUN” level. I am proud to call you my successor, or as president of the GA Mr Mostafa Magdi would say “my daughter” and his “granddaughter”.

Laila Mardini is this year’s president of the ICJ. People’s first impressions of Laila tend to be deceiving because, being a blonde, she is often mistaken for being a “dumb white girl”. However, this girl is one of the smartest girls you could ever meet (and not just academically). Laila may enjoy the occasional Starbucks drink, but is in no way a stereotypical white girl. In fact, she may amaze you once she starts talking about the deep wonders of the world. She is one of the weirdest, nicest and most joyful people you could ever come across. She may not be THAT friendly at first (sorry Laila), but once she gets to know you better, get ready to laugh until you’re in pain. She is very cheerful and is always there to help you. She knows all the celebrity drama and has a passion for politics (if you’re friends with her on facebook, you’ll know what I’m talking about). I also know that her favorite color is (or was about 12 years ago) purple. 200 words are not enough to describe Laila but to sum up, she is a great person and you should consider yourself lucky if you stumble upon someone like her.

I never thought that one day Farida and I could be friends. Maybe I didn’t strongly believe that a stranger could eventually become a best friend -No, not just a best friend, probably even more than a sister. Brilliant, smart and hard-working; these are the three characteristics that pop into my mind when asked to describe her.
She’s the kind of girl who knows how to have fun and enjoy herself. Yet, when it comes to work, there’s no one that can outdo her enthusiasm and charisma. My friendship with her has made me realize how much kindness she has inside of her that she shares involuntarily with everyone around her. Being a justice won’t just prove her professionalism and great passion for law. However, it will provide her delegates the chance to learn from her previous successful experiences and rich knowledge on various topics.

I only got to know Marwan less than a year ago but since then, he has been an older brother to me. Marwan has a unique personality that stands out in a crowd. He has the ability to stay positive under all circumstances and always look at the bright side. He is able to put in place a pleasant, enjoyable and comfortable work environment with his great sense of humor, sarcastic comments and “afashat aflam” (that I never understand). His knowledge about anything related to history and politics is a resource that we all benefit from. I am extremely lucky and excited to continue working with him in preparation for next year’s conference and I am confident that he will do an outstanding job as this year’s OISMUN Security Council president. So whether you need a laugh, the details about anything related to the cold war or just a big hug, look for Harry Potter’s long lost twin.

Youssef is an admirer of physical theoretical values. He’s a special believer of the free fall. He’s unreasonably hyperactive in his walking, eating, talking and ability to achieve anything, that it kind of approaches abnormality. He’s also fond of solving the hard mathematical equations which shows his abilities and curiosity to explore the unknown. As a History lover, he always wants to search and investigate, to show a good cognition about anything, in order to prove his presence in front of himself and others. It has been obvious recently that Sarofim is interested in international law’s affairs and showed strong advocating skills in his experience in ICJ. It is certain that he has a passion for MUN like his siblings, and that he will make it big one day.

There’s this quote I once read somewhere that says: “Your mind is a garden, your thoughts are the seeds. You can grow flowers, or you can grow weeds.” Well let me tell you something; Hana Ebeid is a girl that hasn’t only been growing flowers in her own mind, but in other people’s minds too, including my very own. This girl is the very visible and very wonderful embodiment of sunshine. She just shines. She brightens up my days and has managed to program my brain to tell me to smile whenever she’s around. She doesn’t live by society’s norms, she doesn’t do anything just because everyone else does it and she does NOT take no for an answer. She goes around spreading smiles and good vibes. She is a walking sunflower. Other than that, she is such a hardworking person and an achiever in not just her school life, but in her everyday life too. She may baffle you with her incredible English skills, as well as her magnificent general knowledge (note my sarcasm, please), but that will only add to your love and admiration for her. This is a girl that you would have absolutely no problem looking up to, even if she were your age or even younger than you. She is frankly a person worth admiring, and I thank god to have been able to know and befriend her. If you haven’t already, I’d advise you to go ahead and introduce yourself to Hana and I guarantee that you won’t regret it. Thank you for being the light we need in our team, Han.

If you ask me to talk about one of the most kind-hearted people I have ever known, I would definitely be delighted. Even though I have only known Bido since 7th grade, I have always had the feeling that he would stand by my side at any moment, offering a helping hand, regardless of the time and the effort that he would put into that. You may find him clumsy sometimes… Don’t be weirded out; it’s his way of turning any conversation more humorous, especially in Economics class in the very middle of an exam. Bido, you’re a loyal, trustworthy and mature young fellow. Looking forward to seeing you in the future. Keep spreading your positive energy 😉

The thing I admire most about Mohamed, is that he’s a hard worker. He manages to balance his personal life with school work, a thing most people can’t do. In school he takes Maths and Physics High Level a feat only few can achieve. He manages to get very good grades while also going regularly to the gym and staying fit. Most people can only dream of doing that.

If you really get to know Mohamed, he’s one of the funniest people ever, his sense of humor is pretty weird, but I’m a weird person so i consider him hilarious.

He’s also the kind of person to make you face-palm or cringe because of his awkwardness. Sometimes, in public he doesn’t act very “normal”, and interact with people. Yet, he’ll always be one of my favorite people on earth.

Describing Rita in few words is an extremely hard task, seeing as she’s a person with countless talents. Rita is not only the perfect friend but she’s also a person you can always rely on and turn to for the perfect advice. I have always admired the fact that she excels in everything she sets her mind to do, whether it’s by competing in tennis, by acing her exams or by being the perfectionist she is. Her strong debate skills, her heart of gold and her willingness to help others are some things that make her who she is. If you’re a delegate in Rita’s committee, consider yourself very lucky because she will not only guide, help and mentor you but she’ll also make sure you’re having the time of your life. I am truly blessed to have her in my life and I am sure that her delegates, president and team feel the same.

Salma or should i say Salma Wael, is a girl who can go from hypes and overjoys to spacing out faster than a  rollercoaster. She is a girl that stresses out over anything and everything. A shy person who doesn’t seem like it, but makes you feel as if you’ve known her forever once she gets comfortable around you. A hard worker who always thinks she has no time to work. She is always up late on school nights, complaining about IB and its effects on students. Salma is a girl you can go to whenever you need direct and honest advice or opinion no matter how close to her you are, she will indeed help you as if you’re one of her children. Her lurking and stalking skills can make her qualify for a job with the FBI. Her love for television series will amaze you, as she might know every single line said in every episode of every single season. Not to forget of course her unresolved childhood issues and her love for cartoons and disney movies. Salma can be your wise grandmother, your hyperactive friend, your loving daughter and your caring mother all at once. Words will simply never do this girl any justice.

I always wanted a chance to thank her, today this chance has come! I always wanted to tell everyone how grateful I am to have such a wonderful person in my life. She is one of those people, who you meet and never forget.  She is simply an amazing person to say the least. However, I don’t want to say the least, I want to say that she is such a funny, cheerful person that you would love to have by your side all the time, and actually a helpful person that you will find by your side all the time. Tahani is not only a colleague and a friend; she is my favorite colleague and one of my best friends. Tahani is the type of person who is kind on the inside and on the outside. She is keen to gain the experiences to share it with others.
No one could deny that school is not always fun (although to me it is most of the time except when I have a lot of assignments!). On those days, I always find her by my side supporting me, helping me like a true friend. I am really thankful to have her in my life and will make sure to be a good friend to her as well and that our friendship will last a lifetime.

This friend of mine once told me “stop worrying about what anyone thinks, your smile matters”, and it touched me deeply. The few people who know her well, would probably describe her as the cheeriest, brightest and funniest girl they’ve ever known. Salma is merely the definition of enthusiasm. She carries so much love and joy with her, for her, and for all the people around her. She is the kind of person you would wanna hang around whenever and wherever. Salma is a combination of beautiful and unique contradictions as she can be tough but kind, serious but hilarious, lazy but hardworking, and always mindless but surprisingly smart. She inspires the people around her to be better, to wanna laugh more, to enjoy the small moments and to make them count. Her tolerance and patience are incredible. She’s always so helpful and generous and giving. Laughing at literally everything even the “not so funny” things is practically her everyday goal. She would sometimes look at you and laugh, or even laugh at herself for that matter. Her everlasting contagious positive vibes are unbelievable as she is literally capable of having an impact on anyone so deeply, leaving unforgettable memories in the minds of everyone around her. Only qualifying Salma as an assiduous candidate does not do her justice. She exposes and illuminates her passionate creative soul through her work and conversations. Knowing a girl as pure hearted and fascinating as Salma might change your life, or at least it changed mine. Looking forward to more Yoga classes to come..

Salma has always been one of my favorite friends ever. If it isn’t because of her kind-hearted personality, then it’s for her “go with the flow” attitude. That sums up how much she cares about others. If you ever meet someone who constantly smiles, socializes with everyone or does crazy random dance moves then you’ve probably already met her. Salma is the kind of person you’ll get used to in a blink of an eye and of course feel comfortable around easily, and who doesn’t like someone like that? Not only does she help me by giving advice, but I can literally trust her and rely on her with everything. If you didn’t get the chance to be in her committee then you definitely missed out on a lot.

You know that girls who play sports do better in school, learn teamwork and goal-setting skills. Everyone loves your positivity! You’re one of the people who understand everything most of the time. You’re such a caring person, actually the most caring. You have a personality that should be appreciated by everyone! So grateful to have you as a friend. You always amaze us with your brilliance in French B, despite the lack of intelligence of the class as a whole. You’re the cherry on top of it! You might just be the only reason why Mme Marjo still hasn’t resigned her position as a French B teacher for our class. Yet again, you’re one of the brightest people I’ve ever met (mashallah). I got to know you better this year, and can say that I really love you!

Have you made up your mind about which committee to choose yet ? Well let me tell you if you have ECOSOC: Science and Technology for development, as one of your choices than you’re one lucky person. Not only because it’s a new variation of the regular ECOSOC committee, but also because you’ll have Rana as the Vice President. A smart, extremely understanding and definitely a strong point in our team. She’s probably one of the few people to have that weird thing that facilitates having conversations with her and feeling good about it, forcing you to never hesitate about approaching her if you need any help. Because trust me, she’ll do her best to help you out. Rana will surprise you with her smartness and with how focused she can get.

Ali is one of the most hard­working people I have ever met. If I compare myself to him, I would
not even spend half of the time he spends on studying. He is cooperative, organized in his
thoughts, and always thinks before speaking. He is dedicated to his work, especially
when he is obligated to have a mock debate with only six delegates. His favourite subjects are maths and physics. I do not really understand his sudden passion for economics, as he was never interested in this subject up until the beginning of last year. If anyone finds himself with him in the committee, watch out for his grammatical error detection. He has this strange ability to detect almost all of them. In short, Ali is one of the best chairs of this conference, and being with him will improve your debating skills, your confidence, and mostly your grammar.

Malak Abdelnaby;  she and myself aren’t really that close of friends, I’ve actually never had a conversation with her until earlier this year – but let me tell you this, this girl might just be the most helpful person you’ll meet. Smart, intelligent, funny and quiet, she is the one person who probably has an answer to every single question you’ll ever think of in any subject. Not to forget her kindness of course! So make sure to get to know this one, because if you don’t I can guarantee you’ll regret it!

To be honest, having to describe Amr might not seem like an easy task, since to many people, understanding him is a little difficult. Well, I believe this is only because he’s unique, his mindset is different than those around him, to the extent of not abiding by the ideas that the world in 2016 follows. It’s a matter of spending time with him, you start understanding where his mind travels. He’s physically sitting with us, but he’s wandering with his thoughts about what he’ll be offering when he’s the world’s biggest leader in 2030. I lost count of how many books he reads a day, of how much information his brain can assimilate, of the amount of historical ideologies that swirl through this mind. Some might think he’s a little crazy, but this is only because he truly believes in what he thinks, and what he thinks is so out of the box. Who cares? Big things always start with a small thought! If anyone in our generation can educate themselves the way he does, I sure do know that this intellectual will not be the only one with a bright future ahead!

Usually when people lose their temper, they either shout/scream or in Ziad’s case, start foot clapping. His enthusiasm is contagious. He’s always there to tease and make fun of everyone yet is loved by those of us who know him. I can’t believe that the guy who has pulled uncountable shenanigans on everyone was asked back in C2 to become a delegate because of his convincing arguments. This one’s a real pleasure to work with; he’s extremely meticulous, highly motivated, adaptive and reliable. He has an answer to basically everything and is the goofiest I know yet is the one who can tackle any challenging math problem. He’s not perfect, but is definitely the best fit for his department. Honorable delegates, prepare yourself for the most creative yet cutting edge crisis cases.

Youssef -or Sharaf as he is better known- is one of two great crisis officers in the OISMUN IX team. He adores History and exploring the world, and his unpredictability is an important factor that will be very crucial to the crisis team. He is well informed about various subjects, which is demonstrated through his interest in international affairs and what happens on a national and global scale. He is somebody that loves to offer logical solutions to conflicts/problems that the world encounters by discussing them with anyone. He likes to state his opinions and express his concern about any subject by writing on his Facebook timeline. Youssef is one of the few people that don’t settle for the information given, always having to search for more in order to enlighten himself and to also add to his culture and knowledge.
